We’d like to introduce you to our teammate, Grace!  She comes from a small town with a tight knit family. She is dedicated with a passion for helping others. We are excited to welcome Grace to our Hitchings Insurance family.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I grew up in Vanlue and went to Vanlue schools. Out of 6 children, I am number 5. I absolutely, positively LOVE animals. I have lived in my house since 09/30/1998, which is my birthday. The night we moved in is the night my mom went into labor with me.

When you were in elementary school, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was in school. I still love animals, regardless!

Do you have any pets?

Yes…4 guinea pigs. Their names are Hank, Winston, Oliver and Otis. Oliver and Otis are litter mates. Also, a dog named Rusty and a cat named Mazie.

What is something from your childhood that has shaped you into the person you are today?

Growing up with a large family made me aware that I am indeed not the only person in the world that matters. Growing up in a small school had its ups and downs. I was fortunate to always have great relationships with my teachers.

If you could get on a plane tomorrow and go anywhere, where you would go?

Anywhere with sand and warm weather!

What is your favorite store?

Any craft store and TJ Maxx

What is your favorite phone app?

Craigslist

What chore do you hate doing?

Hanging laundry on the clothesline on a windy day.

Would you rather go to the pool or go to the beach? Why?

Either! I love the water and if I can be next to water, I don’t care where I am!

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Anything chocolate peanut butter or birthday cake.

What is one thing you would tell your 15 year old self?

Being strong and independent is not a bad thing! Figure out who YOU are first.
